Passion Flower Studio is on the move, and I have a new service to offer.
After a long lull while I had to take care of some personal issues - divorce, health, moving home, you know the sort of thing, Passion Flower Studio and I have relocated from the Lakes to equally lovely Northumberland, just over the border in the north east of England.
Earlier in the year Henrietta, my cat, and I had a fabulous adventure during the Spring and Summer driving around Britain in our campervan on the look out for a new home, and decided on Northumberland. The Lakes is lovely, but I craved a change and just over the border in the beautiful countryside by Hadrian's Wall turned out to be it. Not near the sea this time, but the nature here is a bit wilder, the skies more expansive and I love the ancient history. I'll still be able to design jewellery based on my passions of plant life, architecture and industrial heritage, with new inspirations.
My studio is at The Allendale Forge, in Allendale town near Hexham, where, as well as my private studio, there is a cafe, shop, gallery and workshop space, as well as other artists to talk with and view their work. Plenty of free parking around about too.
Other news is that I've also recently trained to become a Civil Celebrant to create and deliver bespoke ceremonies for weddings, funerals, divorces, namings and all other life changes where a ceremony is needed. It's something I've always wanted to do, and I'm looking forward to combining my interest in making life stage jewellery with the ceremonies themselves
